Albert lived with his parents on Liverpool Road, Maghull. His father was a basket maker. The family later lived in Damfield Lane, Maghull. Albert served as a corporal with the 1st Battallion, King’s (Liverpool Regiment). He was killed in April 1918 in what was refered to as ‘trench wastage.’ He is buried in Cabaret Rouge cemetery in Souchez, France.
